People objected to glorifying Babur

On August 27, the web series ‘The Empire’ has been released on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar, which has created a ruckus on social media. This series is based on the story of Babur.
It shows how Babur attacked the Lodhi kingdom.
People allege that Babar has been glorified in this series, while he had killed lakhs of Hindus and destroyed Ram Janmabhoomi.

After uninstalling Hotstar, a user wrote, ‘Who is not of Prabhu Shri Ram, he is not of anyone’.
One wrote, ‘Uninstall it and drop its rating so that they know what should be shown in New India? I am strongly opposed to this. Hope you will join us too.

The series is directed by Mitakshara Kumar, while Nikkhil Advani has handled its production. It stars Dino Morea, Shabana Azmi, Drishti Dhami and Aditya Seal in pivotal roles along with Kunal Kapoor.
This series is based on the story of Mughal King Babur. The character of Babur is played by Kunal Kapoor. The series is said to be based on a novel ‘Empire of the Mughal – Raiders from the North’. Its author is Alex Rutherford.

The film ‘Chehre’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi is also slated to release on August 27.
