In the last 24 hours, 46,164 new cases of infection with corona virus were reported in India and 607 patients died.
With this, the total number of infected people in the country has gone up to 3,25,58,530. Out of these, 4,36,365 people have lost their lives.
The number of active cases has increased to 3,33,725.
The daily cases in the country have almost stabilized for the last two months and this is a matter of concern.
More than 34,000 patients recovered in the last day
Talking about those recovering after defeating corona virus infection, 34,159 patients were cured across the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 3,17,88,440. The recovery rate of the country is 97.67 percent.
Apart from this, 17,87,283 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the epidemic, about 51.31 crore corona virus tests have been done in the country.
These are the most affected states
If we look at the most affected states, so far 64,37,680 people have been found infected in Maharashtra and 1,36,571 people have died.
So far 38,83,429 people have been found infected and 19,972 deaths have occurred in Kerala, the second most affected state.
Similarly, Karnataka with 29,42,250 cases and 37,206 deaths and Tamil Nadu with 26,05,647 cases and 34,788 deaths are the next two worst-affected states.
How is the situation in the most affected states?
Talking about new cases, 5,031 people were found infected in Maharashtra on the last day, while 216 patients died.
Similarly, 31,445 people were found infected in Kerala and 215 patients died. For the past several days, maximum patients are being found in the country.
Karnataka reported 1,224 cases and 22 deaths.
In Tamil Nadu, the infection was confirmed in 1,573 people and 27 patients lost their lives.
What is the status of the vaccination campaign?
Talking about the world’s largest vaccination campaign going on in the country, 60,38,46,475 doses of vaccine have been administered so far. On the previous day 80,40,407 doses were administered. The vaccination campaign is slowly gaining momentum.
