In the last 24 hours, 25,467 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in India and 354 patients died.
With this, the total number of infected people in the country has gone up to 3,24,74,773. Out of these, 4,35,110 people have lost their lives.
The number of active cases has come down to 3,19,551.
The daily cases in the country have almost stabilized for the last two months and this is a matter of concern.
More than 39,000 patients recovered on the last day
Talking about those recovering after defeating corona virus infection, 39,486 patients were cured across the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 3,17,20,112. The recovery rate of the country is 97.68 percent.
Apart from this, 16,47,526 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the epidemic, about 50.94 crore corona virus tests have been done in the country.
These are the most affected states
If we look at the most affected states, so far 64,28,294 people have been found infected in Maharashtra and 1,36,067 people have died.
So far 38,27,688 people have been found infected and 19,584 have died in Kerala, the second most affected state.
Similarly, Karnataka with 29,39,767 cases and 37,155 deaths and Tamil Nadu with 26,02,489 cases and 34,734 deaths are the next two worst-affected states.
How is the situation in the most affected states?
Talking about new cases, 3,643 people were found infected in Maharashtra on the last day, while 105 patients died. The pace of infection seems to be under control in the state for a few months.
Similarly, 13,383 people were found infected in Kerala and 90 patients died, while in Karnataka 1,151 cases were reported and 10 deaths occurred.
In Tamil Nadu, the infection was confirmed in 1,604 people and 25 patients lost their lives.
What is the status of the vaccination campaign?
Talking about the world’s largest vaccination campaign going on in the country, 58,89,97,805 doses of vaccine have been administered so far. 63,85,298 doses were administered on the last day. The slow pace of vaccination remains a matter of concern.
