Some time ago Airtel discontinued its Rs 49 plan. Instead of this plan, a prepaid plan of Rs 79 was launched. Now it has been claimed in many media reports that Airtel has relaunched its Rs 49 prepaid plan.
When we investigated about this, it came to know that Airtel’s Rs 49 prepaid plan has not been launched again. There is some confusion about this because this pack is still listed on Airtel’s site.
When you try to recharge the Rs 49 pack, you will be informed about the closure of this plan. According to the rules of TRAI, it has not been removed from the website yet.
As per the rules, the plan will be available on the company’s website for six months after launch. TRAI’s rule also says that after launching the plan, the company cannot increase its price for 6 months.
The Rs 49 plan was launched by the company with a validity of 28 days. Talk time of Rs 38.52 was given in this plan. 100MB mobile data was also given in this plan, it was the cheapest plan of the company.
After discontinuing this plan, the company launched a prepaid plan of Rs 79. In this, talk time of Rs 64 is given to the customers. With this plan, users are given 200MB of mobile data. The validity of this plan is also 28 days.
