India’s legendary para javelin thrower Devendra Jhajharia has performed brilliantly in the ongoing Paralympic Games in Tokyo. Devendra won the third Paralympic medal of his career by capturing the silver medal. Earlier, he had won the gold medal twice.

Jhajharia had to work very hard to win the medal this time and despite performing his personal best, he could only reach the silver. Jhajharia achieved this medal by covering a distance of 64.35 metres.
Sri Lanka’s Dinesh Priyan Herath created a new world record by securing a distance of 67.79 meters and claimed the gold medal with ease.
